Random News

So, I was searching the internets today when I typed in the letter G on YouTube and look what came into my life via computer screen. Too funny. I know it's not news today, but it is NEW to me...lol. Enjoy.

I've always loved those strange, curvy sinks!

In more awkward- capturing news, word broke that for the 2nd time this year (That's right, I said it) a woman got stuck, err I mean, super glued to a toilet at none other than Walmart. The first incident happened in March. Wait. What?! This has happened before? Could you imagine the embarassment? The woman had to be wheeled out of Walmart with the toilet seat still stuck to her. Read more about it here.
After much discussion with my smartypants little sister, we conclude that maybe the woman was really in a rush to pee, or she didn't line the toilet seat to see the glue seeping into the toilet cover. Well, I guess maybe she could have lined the toilet and sat on the paper and still got stuck but this is something I am definitely NOT going to try and then report back to you what happens. Both the Daily Mail and Huffington Post articles state the cops are not sure if the incident was intentional or accidental. Enlighten me. Please tell me how one stumbles into a bathroom stall with opened super glue. (I'd be scared I'd get it on my private parts!) I thought we all were supposed to be getting lucky in Kentucky... Ladies, all I can say is Hover! Hover! Hover!

"You say I'm crazy... I've got your crazy!"
~Britney Spears for Mike Tyson

Also, fifteen years ago today Mike Tyson (in a zombie like attack) bit off an ear. I wasn't sure how you'd go through the rest of your day without knowing that.
Now, I've been known to get angry and want to hit someone, but to bite off an ear is serious business. I wonder if those zombie-making "bath salts" were around back then...

(Searchy my bloggy about it to read up.)

Finally, allow me to remind you that Justin Bieber still rocks. For all my fellow "Beliebers" out there, first week sales for the "Believe" album soared to 374,000! Top Album again. Internationally this album is some serious business, too. Just not as serious as needing to bite off an ear serious.
Congrats, Justin. You're adorable and your music is snazzy.

Have you bought it yet? Will you buy it?
My answers to those questions are "No" & "Heck yes!"

Have a great day, friends. Live Long & Prosper.

Luv,
~J.~

Cannibal Zombie Attack, Part II

Charles Baker. Palmetto, FL
Read More Here!
Wowsa.
I never thought in a million years I'd have to write  "Cannibals Amongst Us, Part Deux" so quickly after the first Miami Zombie Attack.
Search my blog if you didn't get informed on that weirdness.

Pictured left is Mr. Charles Baker from Palmetto, FL.
(Florida again? you've gotta be kidding me! Aargh.)

Apparently in an undisclosed drugged up state, which was likely "bath salts"this guy gets the idea to go visit his kids at his girlfriend's house... at 10 pm mind you. Well, why wasn't he there in the first place? What? They share kids but not houses?! I don't get it.  Anyway, he starts screaming and stripping down to his birthday suit. Unable to calm him down herself, the girlfriend's "male friend" steps in and BAM! He gets a chunk taken out of his arm!
Later, after police show up, tasers couldn't even hold him back. Multiple Times.

Sounds like some body's guilty of watching too much Hulk growing up... now for accounting for the nakedness, I have no valid explanations, lol...

Two questions come to mind:
#1- Who was the male friend, a roommate, another lover, what?

and

#2- After Sir Charles bit said bicep, did he chew?

Someone get back to us if you've got answers. Inquiring minds wanna' know!
Imagine what those kids saw, if you dare...

Color Inspired Makeup- Coral & Orange!

Sometimes it's easy to forget how close you live to paradise!

Over the weekend the fam went to Caladesi Island, FL and no wonder why it was voted one of America's Best Beaches! Just let me save you some time before you go... Bring a cooler on wheels... It's a little trek to the beach! Also, if you've got ankle biters in tow, bring a Baby Bjorn to carry baby in and/or a stroller. Most parts of the beach you could roll on. I didn't do either and even though I'm still alive to report about it, I had no idea these things were allowed on the ferry! Any who, with such clear waters, white sands, vibrant green trees & colorful shells it was REALLY hard not to be inspired!

Today I'm talkin' Coral, Peach & Orange, deriving my color inspiration from this friggin' AWESOME mother of pearl shell I found in a strange orange pearl. It must be one of a kind...
Anyway, let's talk corally, orangey, peachy cheeks. Peaches and corals make great blushes because they're warm in nature and really complement yellow skin undertones. Also, peaches and non-pinks are fabulous choices for women with blemishes and rosacea they'd rather not bring to the forefront. Think peach cheeks with brown eye shadows or plum shadows for an instant look update. The below colors both have a nice goldish shimmer which does great for highlighting the cheek bone.
MAC's "Style" Blush, $20

NARS "Orgasm" Blush, $28

For eyeshadow, this golden amber bronze color in "Amber Lights" looks awesome with the above cheek shades and a darker matte brown blended in the crease. Alternatively, you can also get an eyeliner sealer like Trish McEvoy's or just plain water dipped on your eyeliner brush. I prefer the angled eyeliner brush. Anyway, get some shadow on your brush and use the back of your hand for a palette. You're aiming for a cream consistency and use as an eyeliner. It's sooo pretty I swear. The liquids on your brush make it bronzier and more metallic.

MAC's "Amber Lights" Eyeshadow, $15

Or, try these lip colors on for some sizzle.
The 1st is ELF's Conditioning Gloss for that beauty bargain gloss wearing huntress in us all...
ELF's 2 in 1 Conditioning Gloss in "Supermodel", $1
Super Value of the Month!
Bought at the Dollar Tree, amazingly enough!
Buy @ Amazon Online, $6.48

Secondly, we got the orange-poppin' darin' to (long) wearin' goddess who doesn't like to have to touch up. Goddesses so don't touch up, at least in my head anyway. Tip: Just don't go crazy with the rest of your makeup when rocking this color. Let it speak for itself.
MAC's "Booyah!" Pro Longwear Lip Creme, $17
Buy Here...
Now let's talk nails, friends. If I could permanently get my toenails this color for life, I'd be one happy camper. You can often find me with this color on because simply put, it's just ahh-mazing. It's always a fiesta on my toes and five o' clock somewhere in my mind...

OPI's "Cajun Shrimp" Nail Lacquer, $6.15
Get it Here...
"Cajun Shrimp" is also one of Britney Spear's fave colors, too! (FYI...)

Bacon Lovers Unite

Just when I thought about trying to get healthy for the summer beachy months.... BAM!

Bacon Lovers, I guess you really can have it your way once again courtesy of the king.

Burger King is hosting a new summer menu with BBQ favorites and the above
Bacon Sundae!
Say what?

Tomorrow, Thursday June 14th  Burger King will have Bacon Sundaes for sale! Oh my!

Click to Read More! Summer Menu at Bottom.

Now I love me some hot fudge, caramel, vanilla ice cream, and bacon. But all together it sounds like it would taste totally whack! Don't you agree? Well, I for one will be ordering one just to see how it tastes.

But let's not stop there, friends. Earlier I reported about bacon lip balm, bacon meatloaf and bacon flavored envelopes. (If you want to order some, searchy my bloggy for it.)

Now, I bring you...
Marini's Candies Chocolate Bacon! YAY! Now, this sounds good.
1/2 Lb is $12.95 and 1 Lb is $23.95

Did I mention it's hickory smoked?!
Yummo.

Alternatively, I give you two options in which to bathe yourself with bacon. Now that's an idea... to wear it instead of eat it! (I've always thought I might as well be literally packing it in, or, slathering it on my saddlebags anyways. It'll end up there sometime. Heh.)

Option #1 if you want to smell like bacon. Tests remain unclear whether or not you should bathe with this the day you go to the dog park.
Bacon Soap, $5.99
Buy from thinkgeek.com!
Option #2 looks like bacon, but will make you smell like vanilla butter cream oil. Yum!
Bacon & Egg Soap, $9.75

The idea also came to me that I could put these out on plates on my table and make it look everyday like I cooked a feast! AJ's Sweet Shop also makes other fake food soaps like cotton candy, donuts, cupcakes, pancakes, chicken wings, mac n cheese, beer, 4th of July Icees, green eggs n ham.... & more! Plastic fruits, move over. Looks like I am presetting my table everyday now, lol. I just want to know where in the world AJ's got their soap molds from. Heheh.

Hash Brown Egg Bake

Now,
here's a recipe for ya', which includes bacon, if you don't want to slave over your stove all morning...

Maple Bacon Cookie Dough Truffles

Unfortunately,
this one requires a more active role in the kitchen, but wow how delish!

Enjoy.

MAC Make Up Staples

So, J.- What are your must have makeup staples from MAC Cosmetics that you can't live without?

Oh, boy there are so many choices! That's a hard question to answer. But, with every cosmetic line out there, I do have my faves from each line.

MAC PowerPoint Pencils:
These are fantastic for this summer time of year. These are made to line the inner eye with, which I'll often do when beaching it. Yup, just the bottom inner eye and nothing else so I don't have to worry about too much smudging and moving when I'm hot and sweating in the sun. Made to be more long wearing and almost waterproof, smudge one of these colors on for a fun time with color. "Engraved" is the black color which is really pigmented. Me likey, but the ones below are my faves:
"Bordeauxline", $15

"Bountiful Brown", $15

Cleanse Off Oil:
Often in the summertime, you can find me rocking all kinds of waterproof makeup. Because even though I'm in the sun a lot, I still want to look naturally pretty with little touch ups. In comes MAC's Cleanse Off Oil. This potent yet amazingly gentle & effective oil can be used as a makeup remover or cleanser. It's also packed with lots of naturals that your skin and nose will love. On dry skin, pump a squirt or two into your hand and work into your makeup. You'll watch it slide away. Now, either tissue paper it off or rinse your face with water. Once mixed with water, this oil turns into a creamy white cleanser and once your face dries, you'll notice your face feeling smooth without pulling and dryness. A must for anyone who likes to wear a lot of makeup or waterproof makeup. For $10, this stuff will last you a year!
"Cleanse Off Oil", $10

187 Duo Fibre Face Brush:
Do you want the long or short reason why I love this brush? Hmmm.... First off, this brush is made of natural and synthetic bristles, so getting it wet with liquid foundation really won't kill it quickly. Plus, you can get a lot of different coverages from this brush. For nice, sheer coverage, use it with your translucent powders, bronzers or blushes. And, for that airbrushed skin look, simply pump a few squirts of foundation onto the back of your hand. Spread it into a thick, even layer and dip the tips of this brush into it. Next, dab the brush on different areas of the face and go to town brushing it in with little circles. Once done, your skin will look amazing I swear by it. Often I will use this brush with airbrush liquid makeup on the back of my hand to "airbrush" a bride's makeup. Your hand can blend things out well compared to a nozzle of spray.
"#187 Duo Fibre Face Brush, $42

Fix + Spray:
You know how sometimes you can look a little powdery? Well, infused with vitamins and minerals, this setting spray does the trick and will bring moisture back to your face. Not only will it set your makeup making it more long wearing, but this spray smells delish, too. Buy this if you have any air travel soon. For some reason, planes can dry out your skin (due to altitude) and make you feel tired. Spray whenever you feel tired or parched. Voila! Instant pick me up! Also, perfect for mineral makeup wearers.
"Fix + Spray", $20

"Spring Bean" Lustreglass:
Combining both lustre and glass, here comes MAC's Lustreglass. This color is a staple of mine because it makes your lips look like honey and depending on what color liner you use, you can get different sparkly variations. Alone, it's the perfect nude for summertime with little mess.
"Spring Bean" Lustreglass, $14.50

"Oversexed" Plushglass:
I love the smell of this so much I could marry the light vanilla scent. Made to plump your lips to look more voluptuous, I opt for this color. On your lips, it's not that dark, just a pretty, tinted wine. It's like your lips, just a little darker. I love glosses I don't have to line.
"Oversexed" Plushglass, $19.50

"Nylon" Eyeshadow:
This frosty, vanilla pearl color is just what the doctor ordered for under your brow and inner corner eye for sparkle. Unlike pearly white, "Nylon" will be less drag queenish. Also, this is the perfect color when used with a fluffy brush for highlight on the cheeks or a small shadow brush for highlight on the nose. You can also use this color with a fluffy eyeshadow brush for a one color simple shadow look.
"Nylon" Eyeshadow, $15

"Plush Lash" Mascara:
Who doesn't love a mascara that plumps, curls and volumizes that costs only $15?! Also, this mascara leaves lashes feeling soft, not hard and brittle. While I don't use it at the beach because it's not waterproof, it is pretty long wearing.
"Plush Lash" Mascara, $15

Any who, I hope you enjoy my top picks from MAC. Let me know what you think! I love comments and questions!

Luv,
~J.~
